Product Name:
Trichoderma viride BioControl Pro - Cellulolytic Biofungicide & Soil Enhancer
Cfu Cells/Gram:
Minimum 2 x 10⁸ (200 Million) viable spores per gram | High-activity, cellulose-degrading strain.
Base:
Available in dual-purpose formulations for soil health and disease control:
-
Wettable Powder (WP): For soil incorporation, compost activation, and seed treatment.
-
Water Soluble Powder (WS): For foliar spray and fertigation.
Benefits:
-
Dual-Action Formulation: Combines powerful antagonism against soil pathogens (Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia) with strong cellulolytic enzyme production for organic matter decomposition.
-
Accelerates Composting: Produces high levels of cellulase and hemicellulase enzymes that rapidly break down crop residues, straw, and organic wastes.
-
Improves Soil Fertility: Converts tough organic material into humus, enhancing soil structure, water retention, and nutrient availability.
-
Root Disease Protection: Colonizes plant roots to form a protective barrier against root rot and damping-off pathogens.
-
Cost-Effective Soil Management: Reduces the need for chemical fungicides and synthetic decomposers while improving long-term soil health.
Suggested For Crops:
Ideal for crops with high residue loads and soil-borne disease pressure:
-
Cereals: Rice (straw decomposition), Wheat, Maize
-
Vegetables: Tomato, Potato, Cruciferous vegetables
-
Fruits: Banana, Grapes, Citrus orchards
-
Field Crops: Sugarcane, Cotton
-
Composting Operations & Organic Farms
Spray Dosage:
-
Foliar Spray (Disease Prevention): Mix 2.5 – 3.0 grams of WS powder per liter of water.
-
Compost Activation Spray: Mix 5.0 – 7.0 grams of WS powder per liter; apply 10 liters per ton of compost during turning.
-
Dosage per Acre: Apply 1.0 – 1.2 kg of WS powder per acre in 200–300 liters of water for foliar application.
Soil Application Dosage:
-
Seed Treatment: Mix 8 – 10 grams of WP powder per kg of seeds using organic binder.
-
Soil/Compost Incorporation: Apply 2.0 – 3.0 kg of WP powder per acre, mixed with 200–300 kg of compost/FYM, and incorporate before planting.
-
In-Situ Residue Decomposition: Apply 2.5 – 3.5 kg of WP powder per acre directly on crop residues before ploughing.
-
Compost Starter: Use 500 – 750 grams of WP powder per ton of composting material.
Note:
-
Moisture Critical: Requires adequate soil moisture (field capacity) for optimal enzyme activity and fungal growth. Irrigate after soil application if dry.
-
Temperature Range: Most effective at 25–35°C. Activity slows below 15°C.
-
Compatibility: Compatible with other decomposer microbes and biofertilizers. Avoid mixing with chemical fungicides.
-
Storage: Store in cool, dry place (15–30°C). Shelf life extends with refrigeration (4–8°C).
-
Best Results: For residue decomposition, apply 2–3 weeks before planting. For disease control, apply at planting and repeat after 30 days for long-duration crops.
