Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) are beneficial soil microbes that convert insoluble phosphates into plant-available forms through organic acid production. Formulated at 1x108 cells/ml, they enhance phosphorus uptake, reduce fertilizer dependency, and boost crop yields.

Usage Instructions

  1. Dosage: 2 litres /acre mixed with 200 L water or compost.

  2. Timing: Apply at sowing/transplanting; reapply at flowering.

  3. Primary Action: Solubilizes tricalcium phosphate, rock phosphate, and aluminum phosphates.

  4. Method:

    • Soil: Mix with FYM/compost (1 ltr/100 kg) and broadcast.

    • Seeds: Treat with 20 ml/kg slurry (use 10% jaggery as adhesive).

  5. Frequency: 2 applications per crop cycle (avoid alkaline soils > pH 8.0).

  6. Compatibility: Synergistic with Azotobacter and Rhizobium; avoid chemical P-fertilizers for 15 days.

  7. Activation: Requires soil organic matter; suppresses Fusarium via siderophores.

  8. Safety: Non-toxic to plants, earthworms, or pollinators.
