Product Name:
Paecilomyces lilacinus Nematode Control Bio-agent
Cfu Cells/Gram:
Minimum 2 x 10⁸ (200 Million) viable spores per gram | High-potency, nematode-specific parasitic strain.
Base:
Available in specialized formulations for targeted soil application:
-
Wettable Powder (WP): For soil drench, drip irrigation, and seed treatment.
-
Water soluble form dextrose: For direct soil broadcast and deep placement.
Benefits:
-
Effective Nematode Parasite: Specifically targets and infects eggs, juveniles, and adult stages of Root-Knot Nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.), Cyst Nematodes (Heterodera, Globodera), and other plant-parasitic nematodes.
-
Mode of Action: Spores attach to and penetrate the nematode cuticle or eggshell, colonizing and destroying the target from within.
-
Safe for Plants & Soil: Completely non-pathogenic to plants, earthworms, and beneficial soil microbes. Supports organic and sustainable farming systems.
-
Residue-Free & MRL Compliant: Leaves no chemical residues, ensuring produce meets strict export and domestic safety standards.
-
Improves Root Health: By reducing nematode pressure, it allows for stronger, healthier root systems and improved nutrient uptake.
Suggested For Crops:
Critical for nematode-prone crops and soils:
-
Vegetables: Tomato, Brinjal, Okra, Cucumber, Carrot
-
Fruits: Banana, Citrus, Grapes, Pineapple, Strawberry
-
Field & Cash Crops: Cotton, Soybean, Pulses, Tobacco
-
Ornamentals & Nurseries: Rose, Gerbera, Polyhouse crops
-
Problem Soils: Fields with a known history of root-knot or cyst nematode infestation.
Application Dosage & Method:
-
Soil Drench: Mix 1.0 - 1.5 kg of WP powder per acre in 500-1000 liters of water. Apply as a drench to the root zone at planting or during early crop growth.
-
Drip Irrigation/Chemigation: Apply 800 grams - 1.2 kg of WP powder per acre through the drip system for uniform distribution.
-
Seed Treatment: Mix 5 - 10 grams of WP powder per kg of seeds using a sticky organic binder for early protection.
Soil Application Dosage:
-
Broadcast & Incorporation: Apply 2.0 - 3.0 kg of WP powder per acre, mixed with 200 kg of well-decomposed compost or sand, and incorporate into the top 6-8 inches of soil before planting.
-
Granular Application: Apply 3.0 - 4.0 kg of Granular (G) formulation per acre directly in planting pits or furrows.
-
Nursery Bed Treatment: Mix 50 - 100 grams of WP powder per square meter of nursery bed soil.
Note:
-
Preventive Application is Key: Most effective when applied before or at planting to reduce initial nematode populations. Curative use requires higher rates and repeat applications.
-
Soil Moisture & Temperature: Requires adequate soil moisture for spore germination and activity. Optimal soil temperature is 25-30°C. Irrigate after application if soil is dry.
-
Compatibility: Compatible with organic manures and most bio-fertilizers. Do not mix with chemical nematicides or fungicides. Can be used in rotation or combination with neem cake for enhanced effect.
-
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration (4-8°C) is recommended for long-term viability beyond 12 months.
-
Best Results: For severe infestations, combine soil pre-treatment at planting with a post-planting drench at 30-45 days. Regular use over seasons reduces nematode populations build-up.
