Bacillus subtilis is a gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium used as a broad-spectrum bio-fungicide and plant growth promoter. It colonizes roots, produces antifungal metabolites, induces systemic resistance (ISR), and enhances nutrient availability. Formulated at 2 × 10⁹ CFU/g on a talc carrier, it offers chemical-free disease control and yield enhancement.
Product Specifications
-
CFU: 2 × 10⁹ per gram (2 billion viable spores/g)
-
Active Content: Endospores and vegetative cells of Bacillus subtilis
-
Carrier: Dextrose powder (ensures stability and adhesion)
Usage Instructions
-
Dosage: 500 g–1 kg per acre, mixed in 200 L water for soil/foliar application.
-
Timing: Apply at sowing, transplanting, or early disease symptoms; avoid extreme heat (>35°C).
-

-
Bacterial: Ralstonia solanacearum (bacterial wilt), Xanthomonas campestris (black rot)
-
-
Method:
-
Soil Drench: Apply to root zone.
-
Seed Treatment: 10 g/kg seeds (slurry method).
-
Foliar Spray: Cover both leaf surfaces.
-
-
Frequency: Apply every 15–20 days; repeat after irrigation/rain.
-
Compatibility: Do not mix with copper-based fungicides; compatible with Trichoderma spp.
-
Activation: Maintain soil pH 6–7.5 and moisture for optimal colonization.
-

-
Precautions: Avoid contamination; reseal tightly after use.
Key Advantages
Systemic Disease Resistance:
Suppresses resistant strains of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (anthracnose) and Phytophthora capsici (blight) while solubilizing phosphorus, fixing nitrogen, and producing growth-promoting enzymes (e.g., ACC deaminase).
