HOW TO USE GUIDE PDF
Ampelomyces quisqualis is a hyperparasitic fungus used as a specialized bio-fungicide against powdery mildews. It penetrates and destroys mildew mycelia by forming pycnidia inside pathogen colonies. Formulated at 2 × 10⁸ CFU/g on a talc carrier, it offers targeted disease suppression without phytotoxicity.
Product Specifications
- CFU: 2 × 10⁸ CFU/gper gram
- Active Content: Spores and mycelium of Ampelomyces quisqualis
- Carrier: Talc powder (ensures stability and foliar adhesion)
Usage Instructions
- Dosage: 500 g–1 kg/acre in 200 L water; higher rates for severe infections.
- Timing: Apply at first signs of powdery mildew; reapply every 7–10 days.
- Target Pathogens:
Podosphaera xanthii (cucurbit mildew), Erysiphe necator (grape powdery mildew)/ Blumeria graminis (cereal mildew), Sphaerotheca pannosa (rose mildew)
- Method: Spray evenly on leaves (focus on undersides); full canopy coverage.
- Frequency: 3–4 applications per season; intervals shorten during humid conditions.
- Compatibility: Avoid sulfur/copper fungicides; compatible with Bacillus subtilis or potassium bicarbonate.
- Activation: Requires >60% humidity for 6+ hours; irrigate pre-application in dry climates.
- Safety: Non-toxic to plants, bees, and beneficial mites (Phytoseiulus persimilis).
Suitable Crops
- Vegetables: Cucumber, squash, pumpkin, tomato
- Fruits: Grapes, strawberries, apples, peaches
- Cereals: Wheat, barley (vs. Blumeria graminis)
- Ornamentals: Roses, gerbera, lilacs
- Viticulture: Wine/table grapes (high efficacy against Erysiphe necator)
Storage Instructions
- Temperature: 15–25°C avoid >25°C
- Packaging: PP Bags
- Shelf Life: 24 months
- Precautions: Avoid repeated temperature fluctuations; discard if clumping occurs.
Key Advantage
