Treating seeds with a mixture of Trichoderma viride, Pseudomonas fluorescens, and NPK bacteria (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium solubilizing bacteria) is a highly beneficial organic method. Its main advantages are as follows:
-
Trichoderma fungi are known for their ability to suppress soil-borne pathogens. They do this by competing for resources and producing enzymes that inhibit fungal growth.
-
Pseudomonas bacteria produce compounds that are antagonistic to specific plant pathogens, helping to prevent and control diseases.
-
NPK bacteria play a crucial role in making nutrients like Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium available to plants.
-
Roots develop better, and seed germination is faster.
-
Treating seeds using Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, and NPK bacteria provides multiple benefits. These include improved plant growth, enhanced disease resistance, and increased nutrient uptake.
-
These microorganisms enhance germination, root growth, and the overall strength of plants, while also acting as biological controls against soil-borne pathogens.
-
Specifically, NPK bacteria play an important role in making nutrients available to plants and increasing their absorption.
Use: Can be used for 15-20 kg of seeds
Method of Use:
-
Take the seeds on a tarpaulin or cloth.
-
Sprinkle a little water lightly over them.
-
Add all the powder packets (of Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, and NPK bacteria).
-
Gently rub the seeds to coat them evenly with the powder mixture.
-
Proceed with sowing.
