Mycobubble is a specialized biological control agent formulated specifically for the commercial button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) industry to combat Wet Bubble Disease caused by Mycogone perniciosa and related Mycosphaerella pathogens.
This 25 kg drum packaging is designed for large-scale mushroom farms seeking an effective, eco-friendly alternative to chemical fungicides.
Wet bubble disease is one of the most destructive threats in mushroom cultivation, causing deformed, undifferentiated sclerodermoid masses that render mushrooms unmarketable. Mycobubble contains a proprietary blend of antagonistic microorganisms (including select Bacillus and Pseudomonas strains) that colonize the casing soil and compost, outcompeting and suppressing bubble disease pathogens through multiple modes of action:
- Competitive Exclusion: Beneficial microbes rapidly colonize the substrate, leaving no ecological niche for pathogens
- Antibiosis: Production of secondary metabolites that inhibit pathogen growth
- Cell Wall Degrading Enzymes: Chitinase and glucanase production that breaks down fungal pathogens
When to Apply
- At casing soil preparation: Mix thoroughly with casing soil before application
- At spawning: Can be incorporated during spawning for preventive control
- After each flush: For severe infestations, apply as a top dressing
