Trichoderma harzianum is a hyperparasitic soil fungus used as a broad-spectrum bio-fungicide and plant growth enhancer. It aggressively colonizes plant roots, directly parasitizes pathogenic fungi, induces systemic resistance (ISR), and improves nutrient availability. Formulated at 2 × 10⁸ CFU/g on a talc carrier, it provides sustainable disease management.

Product Specifications

  • CFU: 2 × 10⁸ CFU/g

  • Active Content: Fungal spores and mycelium of Trichoderma harzianum

  • Carrier: Dextrose powder (ensures shelf stability and adhesion)

Usage Instructions

  1. Dosage: 500 g–1 kg/acre in 200 L water for soil drench/foliar spray.

  2. Timing: Apply at sowing, transplanting, or first disease symptoms; avoid midday sun (>32°C).

  3. Target Pathogens:

    • Fusarium oxysporum (vascular wilts), Rhizoctonia solani (damping-off)

    • Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (stem rot), Phytophthora spp. (root rot)

    • Botrytis cinerea (gray mold), Pythium ultimum (seedling rot)

  4. Method:

    • Soil: Drench root zone or mix with compost (1 kg/100 kg).

    • Seeds: Treat with 10 g/kg seed slurry.

  5. Frequency: Apply every 15–20 days; reapply after heavy rain/irrigation.

  6. Compatibility: Do not mix with chemical fungicides; compatible with Bacillus subtilis.

  7. Activation: Maintain soil moisture >60% for 72 hours post-application.

Key Advantage

Dual-Action Suppression:
Parasitizes chitin-rich pathogens (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Rhizoctonia solani) through enzymatic hydrolysis (chitinases, glucanases) while producing auxins to stimulate root growth.
