Pseudomonas fluorescens is a naturally occurring, beneficial bacterium that acts as a powerful biofungicide and plant growth promoter. It is a fluorescent pseudomonad commonly found in soil and on plant surfaces. Unlike single‑target products, Pseudomonas fluorescens has a broad‑spectrum activity against multiple fungal pathogens, including Phytophthora, Fusarium, Pythium, and Rhizoctonia. It produces antifungal metabolites like pyoluteorin, pyrrolnitrin, and 2,4‑diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG) that kill disease‑causing fungi.
