PSB for Vegetables – Healthier Roots, More Fruits and Flowers

PSB works by unlocking the enormous reservoir of phosphorus that is already in your soil but is in a form your plants cannot use. The result is a powerful root system, which leads to more flowers, better fruit set, and significantly higher yields of high‑quality vegetables.

How to apply PSB on vegetables:

For soil application at planting (for best results):

  • For powder: Mix 1‑2 kg of Bactostore's PSB powder with 100‑200 kg of well‑decomposed FYM per acre. Broadcast evenly during land preparation and incorporate into the topsoil.

  • For liquid: Mix 1‑2 litres of Bactostore's PSB liquid with 100‑200 kg of well‑decomposed FYM per acre and apply the same way.

For root dip of seedlings (for tomatoes, brinjal, chilli):

  • Mix 10 ml of PSB liquid (or 10g of powder) in 1 litre of water.

  • Dip the roots of seedlings in this solution for 10 minutes before transplanting.

For established plants (soil drench):

  • For powder: Mix 100‑200g of PSB powder in 10 litres of water and drench the root zone of plants in a 100 sq. m. bed.

  • For liquid: Mix 100‑200 ml of PSB liquid in 10 litres of water and drench.

Important tips for Alappuzha vegetable farmers:

  • PSB is especially effective for tomatoes, brinjal, chilli, okra, cabbage, cauliflower, and beans.

  • Do not mix PSB with chemical fungicides – they will kill the beneficial bacteria.

  • Always apply in the evening or on a cloudy day to avoid UV rays.
