Buy Verticillium Lecanii Bio-Insecticide for Horticultural Crops in Chhattisgarh – Control Mealybugs and Scale Insects on Mango and Guava

Mango, guava, and citrus are important horticultural crops in Chhattisgarh. But mealybugs and scale insects are serious pests. Mealybugs form white, cottony colonies on branches, leaves, and fruit, sucking sap and excreting honeydew that leads to sooty mould. Scale insects attach to bark and leaves, forming hard protective shells. Chemical sprays are often ineffective because the pests' waxy coatings repel water‑based sprays.

Verticillium lecanii bio-insecticide is uniquely effective against these protected pests. The fungal spores germinate and produce enzymes that break through the waxy cuticle of mealybugs and scale insects, infecting and killing them.

Application methods for fruit trees:

Soil application (preventive – for root‑zone mealybugs):

  • Take 200‑250g of Bactostore’s Verticillium powder per tree

  • Mix with 20‑25 kg of well‑decomposed FYM

  • Apply in a 1.5‑2 metre basin around the tree, 30‑40 cm from the trunk

  • Apply twice a year – pre‑monsoon (April‑May) and post‑monsoon (September‑October)

  • This targets mealybugs that colonise the root zone.

Foliar spray (for active infestation):

  • For liquid: Mix 2‑5 ml in 1 litre of water

  • For powder: Mix 5‑10g in 1 litre of water, add 2 kg jaggery per acre as a sticker

  • Spray thoroughly on branches, trunk, leaves, and fruit

  • Pay special attention to cracks in the bark, leaf axils, and branch junctions where mealybugs hide

  • Apply in early morning or late evening

  • Repeat every 10‑15 days until infestation is controlled

For heavy scale insect infestation:

  • Add 10 ml vegetable oil per litre of water to the Verticillium spray to help penetrate the scale's covering

  • Scrape off heavy scale colonies before spraying
