Buy Beauveria Bassiana for Black Pepper – Control Root Mealybugs, Thrips & Caterpillars
ಹಂಚಿ
Kozhikode's black pepper is famous for its pungency and aroma. But three pests cause major losses: root mealybugs feed on roots, causing yellowing, wilting, and reduced yield; thrips rasp developing berries, causing brown scars that make berries unmarketable; caterpillars defoliate vines, reducing photosynthesis and yield. Chemical pesticides often fail, and residues can affect export quality.
Beauveria bassiana is your natural, export‑safe solution.
What the research says: Research on Beauveria bassiana against black pepper root mealybugs (Formiccoccus sp.) showed that the B. bassiana BB1 strain was highly effective. At 6 months after treatment, the efficacy reached 99.18%. Moreover, the levels of photosynthetic pigments in the leaves of black pepper seedlings increased about 2 times compared to the untreated control. B. bassiana also improved plant health and vigour.
