Biofertilizers for Capsicum under Polyhouse Cultivation in Himachal Pradesh | NPK, PSB, KMB & Microbial Biofertilizer Supplier India

Capsicum is an important high-value vegetable crop grown under polyhouse and protected cultivation systems in Himachal Pradesh. Protected cultivation allows growers to manage temperature, irrigation and crop nutrition more closely, but intensive production can also place considerable demand on the root zone and soil or growing media.

Microbial biofertilizers can be incorporated into an Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) program for polyhouse capsicum. Beneficial microorganisms support nutrient cycling, rhizosphere biological activity and root-zone microbial diversity while complementing fertilizers and organic nutrient sources.

NPK Microbial Consortium combines beneficial microorganisms associated with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrition. It can provide multiple microbial functions within a single capsicum soil-fertility program.

Azotobacter is a free-living beneficial bacterium associated with biological nitrogen fixation and can be incorporated as one biological component of an integrated crop-nutrition program.

Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) help mobilize certain less-available forms of phosphorus in the root-zone environment. Phosphorus plays an important role in root development, energy metabolism and crop establishment.

Potassium Mobilizing Bacteria (KMB) support biological mobilization of potassium in the rhizosphere. Potassium requirements should still be managed according to crop stage, soil or media analysis and the overall fertigation program.

Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria (ZSB) can be considered where zinc availability requires attention. Soil, media or plant analysis can help determine actual micronutrient requirements.

Depending on the formulation and label recommendations, microbial biofertilizers may be introduced through soil application, compost or well-decomposed farmyard manure, root-zone drenching or compatible irrigation and drip systems.

In polyhouse production, liquid microbial formulations can be particularly convenient for root-zone application where the product is suitable for irrigation-based use. However, the microbial formulation should be compatible with the irrigation system and applied according to its label.

Live microbial products should not automatically be mixed with concentrated fertilizers, strong acids or alkalis, disinfectants, fungicides or other pesticides. Where different products are required, suitable application intervals and compatibility recommendations should be considered.

Maintaining a biologically active capsicum root zone also requires appropriate soil moisture, aeration, drainage and organic matter. Persistent waterlogging can reduce root health, while excessively dry conditions can reduce microbial establishment and activity.

A comprehensive capsicum production program should therefore combine microbial biofertilizers with healthy seedlings, balanced fertigation, suitable electrical conductivity and pH management, irrigation scheduling, drainage, sanitation and regular crop monitoring.

Peak Laboratories manufactures and supplies microbial agricultural inputs including NPK microbial consortium, Azotobacter, PSB, KMB, ZSB and other beneficial microorganisms in suitable liquid and powder formulations.

Products are available for polyhouse capsicum growers, protected cultivation farms, commercial vegetable growers, farmer groups, FPOs, agricultural dealers, distributors, institutional buyers and bulk buyers throughout Himachal Pradesh and India.
