Trichoderma for Pomegranate

Trichoderma (T. viride or T. harzianum) protects pomegranate from root rot, collar rot, wilt (Fusarium), and fruit rot (dry rot). It colonizes roots and produces antifungal compounds.

How to use in pomegranate:

  • Seedling / sapling treatment: Dip roots in Trichoderma solution (20 g powder or 20 ml liquid per litre water) for 15 minutes before planting.

  • Soil application: Mix 2.5–5 kg powder with 500 kg FYM per acre at planting, then repeat every 3 months around the drip line.

  • Drench: 1–2 L liquid or 1 kg powder in 200 L water per acre.

Best time: At planting, then every 3 months during the growing season. Avoid chemical fungicides.
