Pseudomonas fluorescens for Pomegranate

Pseudomonas fluorescens is a beneficial bacterium that suppresses bacterial blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae) – the most serious disease of pomegranate. It also controls root rot and induces systemic resistance.

How to use in pomegranate:

  • Sapling dip: 20 g powder or 20 ml liquid per litre water for 15 minutes before planting.

  • Soil drench: 2 kg powder or 1–2 L liquid in 200 L water per acre. Apply at planting, pre‑bloom, and after fruit set.

  • Foliar spray (for blight): 2 ml/L water. Spray on whole plant, especially young shoots.

Best time: Start in nursery. Repeat every 20–30 days during monsoon (high blight risk).
