Buy NPK Consortia Biofertilizer for Black Pepper and Arecanut – Bigger Berries, Better Kernel Quality

Black pepper and arecanut are valuable cash crops in Palakkad. But both are heavy feeders and require specific nutrient management. Potassium is especially critical – it determines pepper berry size, colour, and the pungency that buyers pay a premium for. In arecanut, potassium influences kernel weight and reduces nut drop.

NPK consortia provides continuous, balanced nutrition.

For black pepper:

Soil application (pre‑monsoon and post‑monsoon):

  • Take 200‑250g of Bactostore's NPK consortia powder per vine

  • Mix with 20‑25 kg of well‑decomposed FYM

  • Apply in the basin around the vine (15‑20 cm from the trunk)

  • Cover lightly with soil

  • Apply in April‑May (pre‑monsoon) and September‑October (post‑monsoon)

Root dip for young pepper cuttings (before planting):

  • Mix 10 ml of NPK consortia liquid (or 10g powder) in 1 litre of water

  • Dip the roots of young pepper cuttings for 10 minutes before planting

For arecanut:

Soil application (pre‑monsoon and post‑monsoon):

  • Take 200‑250g of Bactostore's NPK consortia powder per adult palm

  • Mix with 20‑25 kg of well‑decomposed FYM

  • Apply in the basin around the palm (1‑1.5 metre radius)

  • Cover lightly with soil

  • Apply twice a year – pre‑monsoon and post‑monsoon

For nut drop during monsoon:

  • In addition to soil application, drench the root zone with NPK consortia liquid (200‑250 ml in 10 litres water) once a month during the monsoon

Why buy NPK consortia for your pepper and arecanut crops? Bigger, heavier pepper berries fetch a higher grade price. Better colour and pungency mean your pepper stands out. In arecanut, reduced nut drop and heavier kernels directly increase your income.
