Buy Metarhizium Anisopliae Bio-Insecticide for Black Pepper and Arecanut – Control White Grubs, Root Weevils and Termites

Black pepper and arecanut are high‑value crops in Palakkad. But soil pests – white grubs, root weevils, and termites – cause serious damage. White grubs feed on roots, causing yellowing and wilting. Termites attack stems and roots, leading to sudden collapse. In arecanut, the inflorescence caterpillar damages flowers and developing nuts.

Metarhizium anisopliae bio-insecticide targets all these pests – in soil and on foliage.

For black pepper:

Soil application for white grubs and root weevils:

  • Take 200‑250g of Bactostore’s Metarhizium powder per adult vine

  • Mix with 20‑25 kg of well‑decomposed FYM

  • Apply in the basin around the vine (15‑20 cm from the trunk) and cover with soil

  • Apply twice a year – pre‑monsoon (April‑May) and post‑monsoon (September‑October)

For termite control (soil drench):

  • Mix 1‑2 litres of Metarhizium liquid in 200 litres of water

  • Drench the solution around the root zone of affected vines (5‑10 litres per vine)

  • Repeat after 15‑20 days if termite activity persists

For arecanut:

Soil application for white grubs and termites:

  • Take 200‑250g of Bactostore’s Metarhizium powder per adult palm

  • Mix with 20‑25 kg of well‑decomposed FYM

  • Apply in the basin around the palm (1‑1.5 metre radius) and cover with soil

For inflorescence caterpillar (spadix spray):

  • Mix 2‑5 ml of Metarhizium liquid (or 5‑10g powder) in 1 litre of water

  • Spray on the spadix (inflorescence) during flowering

  • Apply every 10‑15 days during the flowering season
