Metarhizium anisopliae for Vegetables – Control Root Grubs, Cutworms & Termites
शेयर करना
You plant your vegetables – brinjal, tomato, chilli, okra – and they start growing well. Then suddenly, seedlings collapse at the base (cutworms), or plants turn yellow and wilt for no reason (root grubs). Soil pests are often the hidden culprit.
Metarhizium anisopliae is your organic shield against soil pests.
This beneficial fungus lives in the soil and actively hunts root grubs, cutworms, termites, and other underground pests. When they come in contact with the fungus, they get infected and die within 3‑7 days.
How to apply Metarhizium for vegetables:
Soil application at land preparation (for whole field):
-
Mix 1‑2 kg of Bactostore’s Metarhizium powder (or 1‑2 litres liquid) with 100‑200 kg well‑decomposed FYM per acre
-
Broadcast evenly during land preparation and incorporate into topsoil
Nursery bed drench (to protect seedlings):
-
Mix 5g of powder (or 5 ml liquid) in 1 litre of water
-
Drench the nursery bed soil before sowing seeds
-
This protects seedlings from damping‑off and cutworms
Root dip for seedlings (before transplanting):
-
Mix 10g of powder (or 10 ml liquid) in 1 litre of water
-
Dip the roots of seedlings for 10 minutes before transplanting
Soil drench for established plants (every 2‑3 months):
-
Mix 100‑200g of powder (or 100‑200 ml liquid) in 10 litres of water
-
Drench around the root zone of each plant (100‑200 ml per plant)
Results: Healthier root systems, fewer plant losses, higher yields, and organic, residue‑free vegetables.
