How to Apply Trichoderma on Cardamom & Pepper – Step‑by‑Step Guide

Many farmers apply Trichoderma incorrectly and think it doesn’t work. Follow these simple steps from Bactostore to get full value.

For cardamom (to prevent capsule rot / Azhukal):

• Soil application (pre‑monsoon): Take 50 g of Bactostore’s Trichoderma powder. Mix with 1 kg well‑decomposed cow dung. Apply this mixture in the basin of each cardamom plant. Lightly cover with soil. Do this before the southwest monsoon starts.

• Foliar spray (during monsoon): Dilute 2 ml of Trichoderma liquid in 1 litre of water. Spray thoroughly on both sides of leaves, on panicles, and on capsules. Repeat every 15–20 days while rains continue.

For black pepper (to control quick wilt):

• Soil application: Mix 10 g of Trichoderma powder per vine with 1 kg of well‑decomposed organic manure. Apply in the basin around the vine and cover lightly with soil. Best done at the beginning of the growing season.

• For existing wilt (emergency treatment): Mix 100 g of powder in 10 litres of water to make a slurry. Drench this solution directly around the root zone of the affected vine. Repeat after 15 days if the disease persists.
